Shipping Terms & Conditions

We presently ship all live animals via FedEx Priority Overnight. Animals are placed in appropriately sized shipping containers and transported in temperature regulated and insulated boxes. All shipments are dropped off at a FedEx staffed facility prior to package pickup and are generally delivered to most metropolitan areas by 10:30am the next day. Some outlying areas may experience a slight delay.

We prefer to ship on Mondays through Wednesdays when they daytime highs and evenings lows are between 40-84 °F (approximately 4-29 °C) along the route of transit. We reserve the right to hold a package if inclement weather or other external unseen circumstances present a hazard to safe arrival, especially if we are sending juveniles or sensitive species. Prior to shipping, we will send you a tracking number so that we both can monitor the progress of your delivery. Shipment to a FedEx staffed facility is preferred, but we can ship to personal residences or businesses.

All packages have a live arrival guarantee and are insured for our mutual interest. We have not had a single animal die during, after, or as a result of shipping and believe careful practices have helped. If a package arrives late, is damaged, or the animals are compromised or dead, you must notify us within 15 minutes of receipt so that we can immediately work to resolve the issue with our carrier. We will require photographic evidence within 30 minutes of notification. We will refund or, if possible, replace the animals. Since many of the species we work with are rare, we strive to ensure their well-being prior to, during, and long after shipping.

How we ship affects our hobby, interests, and businesses. It shapes the public's perception of how we care for our animals and the value, tangible and intangible, they intrinsically have. Let's strive to make a positive impact together!
