About

Although we have kept and bred a large number of amphibian and reptile species over the past 20 years, our present work with the genus Phelsuma is one of our most exciting endeavors. Since we obtained our first group of Phelsuma standingi in 2008, we have been intensely focused on working with Phelsuma and partnering with others dedicated to ensuring their presence in captive collections. Many of the species we keep are endemic to some of the most fantastic places on earth (Madagascar, the Seychelles, Mascarene Islands, and the Comoros) and are under extreme pressures due to invasive species and habitat destruction. One of these is Reunion Island, home to some of our favorite species, Phelsuma inexpectata and Phelsuma borbonica spp., in our collection.

Equally enchanted with the imperiled Ctenosaura of Central America and Mexico, we work with a few species from this genus. We also work with Varanus, Sauromalus, Strophurus, Dendrobates, and intend to launch a few more projects this year. We are extremely grateful for the pioneering work of many researchers and hobbyists whose contributions to our understanding of herpetofauna behavior, successful captive care, and advocacy for the preservation of these animals in captivity and the wild have allowed us to work with species we once dreamed of keeping.

We are resolutely committed to serving as stewards of creation and look forward to the day when all things are made new in and reunited with Christ Jesus.
